Cash For Kids – Eliminate Child Poverty
Radio Forth’s Cash for Kids respond to the needs of children in our local communities across Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife & Falkirk. They support children aged 0-18 years old to reach their individual potential. The children that they help are suffering from illness, have additional support needs or living in deprivation
Following the outbreak of COVID-19 Cash for Kids launched an urgent appeal with 100% of funds raised being distributed to help children and their families that are the most vulnerable. Around 1 in 4 children across our area are living in poverty and with the effects of COVID-19 this will only rise in the coming months which is why they are doing all they can to help.
Since launching the appeal Radio Forth’s Cash for Kids have helped 7,453 children and their families with basic essentials including food, toiletries, nappies, mobile phone top ups and fuel cards/top ups.
All the money that Radio Forth’s Cash for Kids raises is distributed in Edinburgh the Lothians, Fife & Falkirk. What they raise locally stays local.
